Presenting Aidan the Bat and Lauren the Lamb

We had a really fun Halloween trick-or-treating in our neighborhood and handing out candy. Giving away the candy was Aidan's favorite part and he would become despondent when there was a lull in the trick-or-treaters. Somehow, neither of them ate any candy until today when Aidan had a little bag of plain M&Ms and Lauren tried a Kit Kat. Not too bad. The kids looked adorable in their costumes, even though neither of them would leave their cute hats on.

My friend Wendy made us these fairy wings and tutus, which we wore to Jazzercise class. It was really fun! Neither of us knew the other was going to wear a pink shirt.

Thanks, guys! Yes, I love Jazzercise. I have been doing it off and on for about 15 years, and some people seem to think of it as an '80s thing but it's actually very current! (New music, focus on core muscles and proper form, etc.) The class is 1 hour long with about 35 minutes of cardio and then upper and lower body routines with hand weights, plus an ab routine and stretching. I do it about four times a week and work out at home with exercise DVDs on the other days. I gained a lot of weight while waiting for Lauren (I call it the "baby wait weight"--ha ha) and it's finally starting to come off. I am loosely following "The Best Life Diet" by Bob Greene along with all the exercise.

Very cute trick or treaters! Sounds like you all had a good Halloween. I also love all of the fall photos....makes me miss the Northwest where there are real pumpkin patches instead of "trucked" in pumpkins!

cute! Remember how FUN halloween used to be? it's still fun, but not like it was. i definitely fantasize about the days of trick or treating from your dad's house, and then getting back to the house and going through the piles and piles of loot, trading and making deals... (i'll trade you three smarties for your reese's) (totally not worth it, resse's are the best)
